Final Project - Stop Motion

Pre-Production

Storyline Proposal & Storyboards

We had to propose our story idea to Mr. Martin first and present it in class the following week to Mr. Martin and Mr. Razif. For individuals, the story should be at least 30 seconds long.

Below is the final project proposal presentation for my final project.

Production

After getting approval and suggestions for the video, I decided to start making the props and collecting plastic waste to assemble my props.

I made the small fishes my molding solder wire together.

For the big fish, I made two versions of it. The clay and the plastic version. Below is the process of the clay version.

For the plastic version, to give a more worn-out and rugged look, I added details of splattered paint and finish it with sandpaper.

I decided to use the studio to shoot the stop motion and it took me 4 consecutive days to complete the whole scenes.

Post-Production | Week 6-8

Video & Sound Editing

First of all, I imported all the shots in Premiere Pro. For each scene, a new sequence is made and then compiled in the master sequence. I then added the sound effects of the video. Most of the sound effects are sourced from freesound.org.

I also adjusted the color of the video to make it more vibrant and fits the scene.
